Hello!
Yesterday the 27ths went down to Pulau Ubin to carry out our pre-expedition project! :D
We travelled to Ubin and waited for a van to transport us to our project location only for it to RAIN. :(
Perturbed by the heavy downpour, thunder and lightning; our project heads - Jeremy and Paul decided not to carry it out. BUT! After much pleading from our OT chiefs, we decided to go through it, provided we changed our project site, once the rain subsided to a slight drizzle.

We reached there and were given a quick briefing by Mr. Jeremy on the project. We were told to clear the area of weeds and some plants in order to provide enough space for the Ubin reforestation program. The guide explained to us the importance of the reforestation program, and its environmental benefits along with some glossing through ways to use the secateurs and the small "cangkul" in the right way.

The new location was fairly small because the actual place we were supposed to go to was rather far away from the HSBC center which would make evacuation difficult, should there be heavy rain.

But because of the size of the site, we finished fairly quickly; especially considering there were 18 of us working on the place when the guide said it was actually suited for a group half our size. :X
