Medical Check-up at Tan Tock Seng Hospital's Travellers' Clinic! :D

Hey guys! :)

A little after our meet-the-parents-section we were told to get our vaccinations done at Tan Tock Seng Traveller's Clinic!
Vaccinations = Needles = Everybody getting a wee bit nervous

Especially with some ODAC-ers having already taken their jabs, we were shocked at how many vaccinations we were supposed to get, both as part of the YEP requirements and for our own safety. Considering mentioned ODAC-ers had FOUR injections on all four limbs.

So we travelled down as a batch to Novena directly after the much dreaded for examfromhell Chinese A-level examinations.

We were given a short medical briefing which comprised of an interesting talk about how rabies could possibly kill us in six days if we let it fester and how India was the country with the most recorded rabies infections.
So if we see a dog, we should erm, RUN FOR OUR LIVES. Or something like that.
We also learnt of the various ways we could die in India (typhoid, hepatitis, tetanus, etc. etc.) which seemed to us at the point of time like only way we could be kept safe was to wear an astronaut suit, eat nutrition supplements and drink only 100% distilled water. (THE WATER COULD KILL YOU! Really!)
The amount of jabs we were supposed to get were also listed during the briefing and our whilst the girls winced, the guys felt the pinch of their wallets.

Waiting was half the torture as we sat down and stared blankly into space/played with our phones/
formed a gambling-den-looking-formation,

especially with the threat of getting three needles stuck into your shoulder. Some of the girls grew rather fidgety as they dreaded whilst the guys mostly stoned as almost all of them were plagued with exhaustion that followed the pain of 180 minute examination of reading and writing Chinese.
Most of us were supposed to get three shots, namely the Hepatitis A, Typhoid and Influenza shots; of which were highly recommended by our medical officer in charge.
Which cost us ~$97. D:
We also bought our medicine for altitude sickness ACETAZOLAMIDE (which is actualy diamox) which

The girls waiiittting. :)

Caroline is SCARED!

OW!

I CAN TAKE 1000 NEEDLES ANYDAY! >:D

Diligence even before injection!

"Aiya, three injections only. No kick one!"
